In this guide, we will show you how to share focus status with everyone.

If you’re like most people, you probably have a lot of people in your life who constantly interrupt you with calls, texts, and notifications from various apps. While it can be difficult to avoid these distractions altogether, you can at least minimize them by using Focus mode on your iPhone.

With Focus mode, you can customize how you want to be notified about calls, messages, and apps throughout the day. This way, you can avoid being distracted when you’re busy doing more important things.

What is Focus Status?

Focus Status is a new feature in iOS 14 that allows you to customize and schedule how you want to be notified about calls, messages, and apps throughout the day. This way, you can avoid distractions when you’re busy doing more important things.

To share your Focus Status with everyone, go to Settings > Focus and toggle on the “Share with Everyone” switch. Once this is turned on, your Focus Status will be visible to anyone who checks your iPhone’s Lock Screen or Control Center.

If you don’t want to share your Focus Status with everyone, you can still choose to share it with specific people by adding them to your “Focus List.” To do this, go to Settings > Focus and tap on the “Focus List” option. Here, you can add people who you want to be able to see your Focus Status.

Set up a custom Focus

Set up a custom Focus mode schedule in iOS 14 that works for you, and then share your Focus mode status with others.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down to Screen Time and tap it. Tap Focus. Under Share Focus With, select Everyone. This will allow anyone in your Contacts app to see when you’re in Focus mode.

You can also choose to share your Focus mode status with specific people by tapping the + button next to their names. When someone tries to contact you while you’re in Focus mode, they’ll see a message letting them know that you’re unavailable at the moment.

With Focus mode, you can stay productive and avoid distractions throughout the day. By sharing your Focus mode status with others, they’ll know not to contact you unless it’s urgent.

How to share Focus Status with everyone

If you have Focus mode turned on, you can share your current Focus status with everyone. This way, people will know not to disturb you unless it’s urgent.

To share your Focus status, go to Settings > Do Not Disturb. Then, tap the switch next to “Status” to turn it on.

Now, whenever you’re in Focus mode, your current status will be shared with everyone. They’ll see a message that says “Do Not Disturb: Focus Mode is enabled.”

If someone tries to call you or send you a message while you’re in Focus mode, they’ll automatically be notified that you’re busy and that their call or message will be delivered when you exit Focus mode.

This way, you can stay focused on what’s important without having to worry about being interrupted.

How to disable Focus Status for someone or enable it back

If you’d like to share your Focus Status with someone or stop sharing it with them, you can do so easily from the Settings app. Here’s how:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Tap “Focus.”

3. Tap the person or contact you want to disable Focus Status underneath the “Sharing” section.

4. Toggle off “Share Focus Status.”

You can also re-enable Focus Status for someone by following the same steps and then turning on “Share Focus Status.”

Keep in mind that when you share your Focus Status with someone, they’ll be able to see when you’re in Do Not Disturb mode and won’t be able to contact you during that time unless they mark the message as urgent. So if you want to keep your Focus Status private, it’s best not to share it with anyone.

Why does Share Focus Status toggle not show up inside Messages?

If you don’t see the Share Focus Status toggle inside Messages, that means your iPhone is not running iOS 14.5 or later. To share your Focus status with someone, both you and the person you’re messaging will need to be running iOS 14.5 or later.

To update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS:

Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Tap General. Tap Software Update. If an update is available, tap Download and Install.

Once your iPhone is running iOS 14.5 or later, open the Messages app and start a new conversation or go to an existing one. Then, do the following:

Tap the contact’s name at the top of the conversation. Tap Share Focus. Tap the Share Focus toggle to turn it on.

You can also share your Focus status with everyone in a group message. Just open the group message, tap the contact’s name at the top of the conversation, tap Share Focus, and then tap the Share Focus toggle to turn it on.

Once you’ve shared your Focus status with someone, they’ll be able to see when you’re in Do Not Disturb mode or when you’re blocking notifications from certain apps. If they try to message you while you’re in Do Not Disturb mode, they’ll get a notification letting them know that you’re busy. And if they send you a notification from an app that you’ve blocked, they’ll get a notification telling them that you’re not receiving notifications from that app.

If you want to stop sharing your Focus status with someone, just open the conversation, tap the contact’s name at the top of the conversation, tap Share Focus, and then tap the Share Focus toggle to turn it off.

How to fix the Share Focus Status option on Messages

Open the Settings app and select “Do Not Disturb.”

Tap the switch next to “Scheduled” so that it’s green and in the on position.

Select a time frame for when you want Do Not Disturb to be automatically turned on and off.

Tap the back arrow in the top left corner of the screen to return to the previous page.

On the “Do Not Disturb” page, scroll down and tap “Bedtime.”

Tap the switch next to “Sleep Scheduler” so that it’s green and in the on position.

Set a start and end time for when you want your sleep schedule to be in effect.

Now, when you open Messages and go to the “Do Not Disturb” page, you should see the option to Share Focus Status. When you tap on this, you will be able to share your current Focus mode status with everyone in your contact list.

Who can see my Focus Status?

When you share your Focus Status, it’s up to you who sees it. You can choose to share your Focus Status with specific people, or you can broadcast it to everyone.

If you want to share your Focus Status with specific people, go to Settings > Do Not Disturb > Share with Contacts. Then, select the contacts that you want to share your Focus Status.

If you want to broadcast your Focus Status to everyone, go to Settings > Do Not Disturb > Broadcast Focus. Then, select the audience that you want to share your Focus Status with.

What happens when I share my Focus Status?

When you share your Focus Status, the people that you’ve shared it with will see a notification that says “Focus Mode is on.” They’ll also see your current Focus Status (for example, “I’m focusing on work right now”).

If you’ve shared your Focus Status with specific people, they’ll be able to see your Focus Status for as long as you’ve set it. If you’ve broadcasted your Focus Status, people will only be able to see it for 24 hours.

Can whitelisted people see my Focus Status?

Yes, the people you’ve whitelisted in Focus mode can see your current Focus Status. But they will only be able to see that you’re in Focus mode – not what apps or notifications are included in your focus list.

To share your Focus Status with someone:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Scroll down and tap “Do Not Disturb.”

3. Tap “Focus.”

4. Tap the switch next to “Share my Focus Status” to turn it on.

5. When prompted, choose the contacts you want to share your status with from your Contacts app. You can also tap “Add All Contacts.”

6. Tap “Done” when you’re finished.

Now, when you’re in Focus mode, the people you’ve whitelisted will see a moon icon next to your name in their Contacts app. And if they message you, they’ll get a message saying that you’re in Focus mode and can’t chat at the moment.

If you want to stop sharing your Focus Status with someone, just follow the steps above and turn off the “Share my Focus Status” switch.

Why can’t someone see my Focus Status?

If you’ve recently turned on Focus mode or schedule and someone can’t see your Focus Status, there are a few things you can check:

-The first thing you should do is make sure that the person you’re trying to share your Focus Status with is in your Contacts. If they’re not, you won’t be able to share your Focus Status with them.

-Next, check and see if the person you’re trying to share your Focus Status with has their own iPhone. If they don’t, they won’t be able to see your Focus Status.

-Last, make sure that the person you’re trying to share your Focus Status with isn’t already blocking you. If they are, they won’t be able to see your Focus Status.

If you’ve checked all of these things and the person you’re trying to share your Focus Status with still can’t see it, there may be a problem with their iPhone. In this case, you should contact Apple Support for further assistance.

That’s it

Now you know how to share your Focus Status with everyone on your iPhone.
